Abstract Photography.
Photography summarizes life experiences and translates them into smaller, visually legible formats. Alternatively, macro-photography offers a view of the overlooked details of reality and abstracts them by casting them as larger than life. I am drawn to this abstraction, and I admire other artists who work in the abstract, including Wassily Kandinsky, whose vibrate use of color and inspiration from music is something I reference.
Photography has grown to equate to the truth, though most photographic images are edited so as to appear more natural. My photographs are entirely unedited, although they appear to be of an unnatural subject.
I compose miniature sculptures and photograph them using a macro lens. My intended result is for the image to appear otherworldly, unrecognizable, or similar to an abstract painting. The use of color and the use of a shallow depth of field is intended to give my images a vast and other-worldy look.

I Only See You in My Dreams
Dedicated to the blue-eyed boy. Years ago, I had believed I love you. Now, I don't think of you at all, until I dream of you.
